18" x 24" Poster

During this project, I created an infographic poster about the country of Denmark, combining both explorative and narrative data. Since my target audience was high school students, I wanted the design to be engaging, educational, and fun. I began by researching Denmark, which provided the content for my poster. From there, I sketched graphs, icons, and layout ideas before moving into Illustrator to bring everything to life. I designed unique graphs and charts for each section while keeping the overall style consistent and cohesive.

For the color palette, I chose warm, cozy tones inspired by the Danish cultural concept of hygge as well as the colorful coastal houses of Denmark. Inspired by Danish patterns, I leaned into symmetrical floral illustrations and carried that theme throughout the poster as a design element. Compositionally, I wanted the viewer's eye to be drawn from section to section, so I went with a modular grid layout to help guide the viewer's eye throughout the information.
