SUGAR RUN SALMON
Illustrator and Procreate // 4.25in.x3.2x1in.
Sugar Run Salmon is a fictional organic gummy candy fish company I created that is based in Alaska. The target audience for this brand is primarily young adults in their 20s who enjoy traveling cheaply, adventures, hiking, and camping. Sugar Run Salmon is conveniently packaged in an aluminum can so it can be thrown in a backpack to consume while on the go.
Inspired by Alaska’s salmon run, I selected the name Sugar Run Salmon and developed a logo that is fun and joyful to draw in my target audience. I chose the color palette, inspired by Alaska’s natural scenery, to feel organic yet playful. With the goal of Sugar Run Salmon to bring a little joy to people’s lives, I decided to use an actual fish tin inside a cardboard box as the packaging for this project because of its ability to be thrown in a bag and as a nod to actual canned fish for the user's experience.
To create the packaging, I made a dieline in Illustrator, designed on the dieline, printed it out, and worked with my Cricut to get clean lines. Finally, I assembled the whole packaging system.
